After a long and brutally cold winter out here in MT, it is finally time to get back on the water. Warmer temps and a little sunshine have people chomping at the bit for a little trout fix. This week marks the first trips of the season for me here on the Missouri.
Fishing today wasn’t too shabby. Not lights out, yet, but not all bad. The wind wasn’t too cooperative for us, but at least it was sunny. And we managed a few nice fish, like the one seen above. Water temps are still around 35.5 degrees, which is cold. Hopefully with a few more days of sun, and some warmer overnight lows, it will wake the fish up a little more for us.
Stay tuned as I am on the water for the next four days. Hopefully there will be more reports, and images to follow.
