Craig Montana – Trout Town USA
Welcome to the last true trout town in the US. With more drift boats in town than people, this community is the quintessential fishing town, located on the banks of the Missouri River. There’s a campground, three fly shops, two watering holes, a restaurant, camper trailer crash pads, a few summer cabins, some rooms to rent. That’s it. There is no grocery store, no gas pump. This is a fishing town through and through.
Craig is tucked in a scenic canyon between Helena and Great Falls, Montana, each a respective 40 minute drive. The nearby town of Cascade, 15 miles to the east, offers the nearest grocery, gas and other services. Those flying to Montana will find Helena or Great Falls a perfect option.
